Noida resident Alok Mathur son Suresh Mathur is MD in Vigo Medical Company. Alok Mathur was going from Noida to Rai in Sonepat via Eastern Peripheral Expressway with driver Sandeep son Hariram on Tuesday. When he entered the EPE from Ghaziabad, a red colored Swift car started chasing him. Told that on realizing that the miscreants were chasing, the driver started the car. The miscreants overtaken his car near Lahchoda. It is alleged that the miscreants in the car fired several times with a weapon. The glass of his car was also broken in the fight. The miscreants also tried to rob him by getting him out of the car. Seeing the farmers coming from the fields on making noise, the miscreants fled after threatening to kill them. The victim informed about the incident at 112 control room. But even after an hour the police did not arrive. Thereafter the victims went to the destination. In this regard, Inspector Omprakash says that both the cars had hit the side while entering from Ghaziabad. There was a fight on both sides over this matter. The allegation of attempted robbery is false.
Three smugglers arrested for taking 26 cattle to Meerut for harvesting
Baghpat, Jagran correspondent. A large number of cattle are being smuggled through the district. Most of these animals are taken for slaughter. Niwada outpost police on the UP-Haryana border caught a canter laden with 26 cattle on Tuesday morning. The cattle were badly loaded into the canter with their mouths and feet tied. The police arrested three people who were traveling in the canter. According to Kotwali SI Priyavrit Arya, the arrested accused are residents of Bijendra, Sanjay Nagar police station, Sadar district, Faridkot (Punjab), Udemy and Ausaf residents of village Bajdi (Muzaffarnagar). During interrogation it was revealed that the accused persons were taking cattle from Punjab to Meerut for harvesting. A case has been registered against the accused under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
