For this, vaccination will be started in 17 municipal bodies of the state from next week. On Wednesday, on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a global tender has been issued for four crore vaccines. Apart from this, 10-10 crore rupees have been given to Bharat Biotech and Serum Institute for 50-50 lakh vaccines as advance. Companies have assured an early supply.
Yogi said about the vaccination in the team 9 meeting that vaccination is an important means of protection to protect against Kovid. Realizing this importance, vaccination campaign is being conducted rapidly in the state. So far, the first dose of vaccination has been applied to 51,284 people in the age group of 18-44. As of yesterday, 17,452 vaccines have been placed at 106 centers in a single day. Global tender has also been issued for vaccination of people in the age group of 18-44. Monitoring this, supply should be ensured at the earliest. He said that similarly the process of vaccination of people above 45 years of age is progressing smoothly. One crore five lakh 68 thousand 125 people have been given the first dose and 25 lakh 22 thousand 860 people have been given the second dose. Till date, a total of 1,30,90,985 doses have been applied. Make special efforts to minimize vaccine waste. UP has become the first state in the country to conduct global tender for vaccines.
Uttar Pradesh Medical Supply Corporation has issued a global tender for 40 million vaccines. For this, the last date for downloading the tender has been declared as 7 May and the last date for filling the tender is 21 May.
