Lucknow: The Lucknow Commissionerate Police arrested four members of two gangs for alleged black marketing of oxygen cylinders in an operation and recovered 87 empty oxygen cylinders from one. At the same time, 10 jumbo cylinders filled and eight small empty cylinders have been recovered from another gang. The police gave information about it.
Police Commissioner DK Thakur said that the police received information that on Monday evening, two persons in the city of Gudumba area sell oxygen cylinders to the families of patients suffering from corona infection at a cost of Rs. Thakur said that on the basis of this information, both were arrested from Kalyanpur area of Gudamba. He told that both have been identified as Vishnu and Vikas. Both run a gas agency.
The officer said that the police have recovered 87 empty oxygen cylinders and more than one lakh rupees cash from him. He said that these people admitted in the inquiry that they used to sell oxygen cylinders to families of corona patients at expensive prices. In another incident, the Commissioner of Police said that Ikram Ali and Ayush Shukla were arrested from Gomti Nagar area and ten jumbo oxygen cylinders were filled from them and eight small cylinders were found empty.
He said that a Matador carrying cylinder has also been recovered from them. The officer said that both of them also admitted to the black marketing of the cylinders in the interrogation. Police are interrogating these people to get information about other members of the gang.
