UP Budget 2021-22: Know, what the veteran leaders of the opposition said on the 'paperless budget' of the Yogi government
Lucknow: Yogi Adityanath government on Monday presented the first paperless budget in the Uttar Pradesh Legislature. The budget for FY 2021-22 was presented by the state's Finance Minister Suresh Khanna in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Reading the budget from the laptop in the House, Khanna said that the goal of the government is to make Uttar Pradesh 'self-reliant' and develop all-round development. This is the 5th budget of the current tenure of the Yogi Adityanath government before the next year's assembly elections. Let us now tell you what the veteran leaders of the opposition have reacted to this final budget of the Yogi government.
Akhilesh said - Budget disappointing,
President of the Samajwadi Party neglecting public interest, Akhilesh Yadav described the budget of the Yogi government presented in the Assembly as a complete disappointment and gross neglect of public interest. According to its character, the BJP has made misleading announcements in this. On the go, the state government has made a series of false promises and deceived the farmers, youth, women and businessmen. The BJP's budget will give more benefits to the rich industrialists and not to the poor. There is no sign of increased inflation control. The Chief Minister was giving a big statement of 'paper lace', but in reality it was also seen that the budget disappeared from the tablet and for the first time it happened that the MLAs got to know about the budget. The direction of development is missing in the budget. Instead of working, the work is being done with jumlebaazi. The promises that the BJP makes are not fulfilled.
Attempt to show beautiful dreams in a hopeless budget: Mayawati
Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati termed the budget proposals presented by the Uttar Pradesh government as hopeless and a cruel joke for the youth. He said that like the Center, in the budget of UP, an attempt has been made to show beautiful dreams to the public. Mayawati tweeted that the BJP government's budget presented in the UP Legislative Assembly, like the Union Government's budget, is extremely disappointing in the state especially in terms of employment etc. to remove the cruelty of unemployment. Like the central government, an attempt has been made in the budget of UP to show promise and beautiful dreams to the public. He said that the record of the UP government in terms of fulfillment of longing for the development of about 23 crore people of UP, despite having a single party government at the center and UP, was not satisfactory as promised. Especially in the case of problems of poor, weaker sections and farmers, UP's budget is very disappointing.
Budget is focused on youth, farmers and women: Anupriya
Apna Dal (S) President and former Union Minister Anupriya Patel described Uttar Pradesh's first paperless budget as historic. He said that adequate arrangements have been made for farmers, youth and women. Patel said that the budget of 2021-22 is an important step towards ensuring the overall development of Uttar Pradesh and making the state economy a trillion dollar economy. Allocation of Rs 600 crores under the Chief Minister's Farmer Accident Welfare Scheme in the budget is a commendable step. 700 crore announcement is an important step to provide free water facility to farmers. Apart from this, a provision of Rs. 32 crores has been made for the establishment of Mahila Shakti Kendras. The announcement of establishment of women help desk in each tehsil will help in immediate diagnosis of the problems of women in the state.
The budget of rhetoric is far from the truth: Sanjay Singh
AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said that the budget presented by the Yogi government is a box of rhetoric and is far from the truth. Singh said that it can be clearly understood from the government's track record that this government did not do any work for the public in 4 years, but in the time of Corona, an oximeter of 800 was purchased for Rs 5000 and a thermometer of 1600 was 13 thousand. Purchased for Rs. Even after this, if this government talks about doing exemplary work in the Corona time in the budget, it will be called rhetoric. In this budget, there is no vision of the government for providing good health services to people, providing employment, providing good education to children. In this way, this budget is a budget of complete despair and a budget of rhetoric.
Budget disappointing farmers: RLD
Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) spokesperson Anil Dubey described the Yogi government's budget as developmentless and anti-farmer, saying that the farmers had high hopes from the last budget of the government but they are disappointed. Dubey said that no provision has been made in the budget for farmers, inflation and common man. Overall, this budget is misleading to the public. There has been talk of doubling the income of farmers in the budget, but the government has not told how it will work to increase the income of farmers because neither the budget has announced to increase the sugarcane price nor the petrol, diesel. And no announcement has been made to reduce the price of LPG nor any plan has been made about the employment of the youth.
