UP government gave instructions for rapid vaccination in backward development blocks, said - all DMs should review every week

Chief Secretary R. In the meeting of the State Steering Committee constituted for vaccination on Tuesday under the chairmanship of K Tiwari, the vaccination campaign being run to protect against corona was reviewed. In the meeting, the Chief Secretary directed that by listing the backward development blocks in vaccination, speed up the work of vaccination there. So far 9.67 crore vaccines have been administered in the state. So far 7.94 crore people have applied both the first doses and 1.73 crore people. Fewer people have reached the vaccination centers to get the second dose, so people should be made aware. Contact them and speed up the work of vaccination.

A total of 15.04 crore people above the age of 18 are to be vaccinated in the state. More than 52 percent have been given at least one dose of the vaccine. So far, 5.51 crore people in the age group of 18 to 44 years, 2.62 crore in the age group of 45 to 60 years and 1.53 crore people above the age of 60 years have been vaccinated. So far, 96.73 percent health workers and 98.88 percent frontline workers have been given the first dose. 83.46 percent health workers and 73.14 percent front line workers both doses have been applied. Additional Chief Secretary (Medical and Health) Amit Mohan Prasad was also present in the meeting.
