After the end of the country, Durga Puja begins here, long queues of devotees to see the mother

Our India is a country of faith and beliefs. With the change of place, traditions also change here. Today we are telling you this because because when Durga Puja and Dussehra are over in the whole country, then two districts of Uttar Pradesh are celebrating Durga Puja and pandals are being decorated here.

These days the festival is in full swing in the urban areas of Basti and Sultanpur district of UP. In fact, Durga Puja ends on the day of Dussehra all over the country and idols are immersed, but in two districts of UP, Sultanpur and Basti, idols are immersed on the full moon day five days after Dussehra. The special thing is that this tradition is going on in these districts for the last many years.

In this regard, local people say that the tradition of immersing the idol of Maa Durga on the full moon day has been going on for years. Although there is no authenticity of any religious belief behind it, but it is believed that this tradition started from Sultanpur, which gradually spread to Basti district as well. In such a situation, there will be an atmosphere of worship and grand fair of Maa Durga in Basti and Sultanpur till October 24 i.e. full moon.

The special thing is that with the approaching of the full moon, the enthusiasm of the devotees is increasing further. At the same time, due to the immersion of Poornamasi, the decoration of some pandals is also going on. Along with this, keeping in mind that people should not face any kind of inconvenience due to this unique tradition, the police administration has made strict security arrangements. Especially after the incident in Amritsar, the administration does not want to make any kind of lapse in security.
