National Desk: A woman from Odisha has given birth to a rare baby girl. The girl, born in a private hospital, has two heads, two mouths and three hands. Huh. According to the doctors, this is a joint twin case, that is, the woman has produced two girls who have different heads but the torso is the same. It is also drinking milk from both the mouths.
According to the information, these girls have been born in a poor family and the woman has become a mother for the second time. Pediatrician Dr Debashish Sahu said that the condition of the girl child remains stable at the moment. The malformations of this twin are being detected through ultrasound. They have only one body, three hands, two legs, they are eating with two mouths and also taking different breaths.
Dr. Debashish Sahu confirmed that this is a case of Siamese Twins. Twins are produced when a fertilized egg is separated into two parts. This happens within 8 to 12 weeks of conception. But if this time is 13 to 15 weeks, then they are not completely separated and their organs start developing in this condition in the mother's womb. According to a research, only 11 percent of such cases are seen.
